Hello everybody! I'm back for a quick update about what's going on in my life. Asher forced me to update, so yeah here I am doing so at his request...or else I would never have bothered updating in here at all until the semester break comes around.
Anyway, I have been busy with my project and submissions, and also presentations and tests. Being in polytechnic isn't all about fun and games, really - there are periods whereby you need to get down to serious business that will affect your GPA aka your future! So far everything has been going along fine, albeit some discrepancies here and there.
Oh yes, did I mention that I signed up for being a docent as part of Architours? Well, let me tell you more about it! Every year, Singapore holds an annual architectural event called Archifest, and part of the event is having tours to selected places in Singapore. This is also known as Architours! This year, I received an email from one of my lecturers who happened to forward an email from NUS TAS (The Architectural Society). The email stated that it was searching for docents to help out with the event, and an interview would be held for anyone who was interested. As I've always wanted to try out new things, I thought that perhaps joining this event could broaden my knowledge about local architecture, and also how to communicate well with different types of people. So yes, I signed up for the interview along with some other schoolmates and students from other institutions, and attended it last Saturday! It was a group interview, o h m y g o s h. I nearly died from nervousness while answering questions from TAS! However, it went pretty well too. The interviewers were warm and friendly, and the questions that they asked were manageable. We took turns answering the questions, so it didn't feel much like a competition to see who answered first at all. It felt like a heart to heart conversation session ( no kidding!). You might think that 20mins for an interview is a long time, but truth be told, it's not! With all that's going on during the interview, time passes by really quickly.
Well, I really hope that I could be part of the prestigious group of docents to take part in Archifest 2015! If I do get selected, it would be one of my happiest moments in my life! Not only do I get to help out, I also gain experience doing this kind of stuff and learn new things along the way! :)
To end off, here's a note to Asher: I hope you're satisfied with this blog post. I tried to make it as long as possible for you to read okayyy, so don't complain! Haha <3 *virtual hugs* P.S to anyone who's reading my blog, thank you for your support I do appreciate your tolerance level of putting up with my nonsense huehue xo

JUST A QUICKIE
Hello! Term 2 has begun and our VSE (vertical studio elective) and HBL (home-based learning) weeks have passed. The 2 weeks of VSE had been very hectic, with 3 critiques and exhibition of our final works on the last day. HBL was not as hectic, since I could stay at home and do my work any time as long as it does not exceed the deadline. Currently, I am working on refining my typical storey and first storey layouts plus the class site model that is due this Wednesday. In addition, there is a 1500 words essay draft that has to be handed in by tomorrow....shucks. I'll see whether I can burn the midnight oil tonight. If not, I'll wrap the essay up during tutorial tomorrow and hand it up before school ends.
The weeks ahead are going to be intense, so before I go MIA, I'm here to quickly update you guys about what I have been up to recently. I'm sorry this blog post isn't adorned with fanciful photos for today, because I am really tired and lazy to upload photos from my phone into my laptop. However, do stay tuned alright! I am not going to abandon this blog forever. Heh. Till next time folks!

FATHER'S DAY 2015
Today marks the 18th year of recognizing my dad's effort of bringing me up and for being the family's breadwinner. To celebrate this unforgettable day, my family and I headed to Serangoon, and had a humble Hong Kong style lunch, alongside with dim sum. Afterwards, we shopped around City Square Mall for abit before heading back home.
The time spent outside celebrating was a short and simple one. However, nothing beats the unconditional love my dad has for the family. So Happy Father's Day once again, and thank you God for blessing me with such a loving father.
p/s: Boyfriend complained that he wasn't mentioned in any of my blog posts. So there you go Asher: I love you <3

BACK
I am finally freed from the clutches of archi(torture) after a term. However, this is only temporary. There are still 3 semesters and a term more to go until I no longer have to face the existence of this course.
I'm aware that I have not yet updated this space with my trip to Burma due to the lack of internet connectivity there. Hence, I will be uploading photos of my trip on here tomorrow! Term break begins after tomorrow's lecture, which means more time for blogging...and lesser excuses to not blog. Heh.
Meanwhile, here are some random shots that I took over the past year or so:

AWAY
Hello folks. I'll be overseas in Burma from tomorrow till 18th April 2015. Internet usage there is limited since the availability of wifi there isn't as prominent as it is like here in Singapore. Hence, I wouldn't be posting much for the upcoming 3 weeks. See you soon!

2K14
Despite the early start up of this blog since September last year, I have not been updating it frequently. Writing long, wordy posts became a bore, especially since there aren't any visually appealing media to appease the eyes after a period of scrutinizing every word in a blog post. Hence, I have decided to revert to a type of blog that's dedicated to all photos with a short note at the end of it; something like a photo blog. As the saying goes, "A picture speaks a thousand words", I shall too allow my photos to translate itself into a wordy post, but more visually appealing.
